In-Person Payments Support for Mollie and Stripe

Process face-to-face payments for orders, sales, and invoices in RO App using Mollie and Stripe terminals or QR codes

If you use Mollie or Stripe for payment processing, you can now collect payments from clients directly in RO App when serving them in person. Start a payment in the system, and the client can complete it either on a connected Mollie/Stripe terminal or by scanning a QR code.

How It Works

After connecting Mollie or Stripe and linking a merchant with in-person payments enabled to a financial account in RO App, you can accept payments using:

  • a Mollie or Stripe terminal connected to your merchant account, or

  • a QR code printed and placed at your checkout or service desk.

To charge a client, open the payment window in an order, sale, or invoice and select the financial account connected to the Mollie or Stripe merchant. RO App will then send the payment request to the terminal or activate the QR code payment.

Payment Expiration

In-person payments must be completed within a limited time:

  • Terminal payments: 5 minutes to finish the transaction

  • QR code payments: 15 minutes to complete the payment

If the time limit is reached before the payment is completed, you will need to start the payment again.

Enabling In-Person Payments

If Mollie or Stripe is already connected to your RO App account, you can enable this feature in the integration settings:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations and open the integration.

  2. Open an existing merchant or create a new one.

  3. Turn on In-person payments.

  4. Select the payment method you want to use:

    • Terminal (connect your Mollie or Srtipe terminal by specifying the terminal ID), or

    • QR code (reopen merchant to download the QR code for printing).

  5. Save the merchant settings.

Note: A financial account can be connected to only one merchant with in-person payments enabled. If you plan to accept payments from multiple merchants, each of them must be linked to its own financial account.

Connecting Mollie and Stripe

If you haven’t set up the Mollie integration yet, follow the integration guide in RO App. For Stripe we also have the step-by-step instructions for setting up the integration. Once connected, you’ll be able to:

  • collect in-person payments,

  • generate payment links, and

  • receive payments through public order pages.

Transaction Fees

Both Mollie and Stripe integrations are available in RO App starting from the Startup plan and we do not require any additional payments on our side. However, Mollie and Stripe have transparent pricing policies that may depend on your country and payment methods. For more details navigate to the official Mollie website or Stripe website.
