Sending files in the chat

There are 2 ways to send a file in a chat:

1. In the chat text input field, click on the paper clip icon, select the files you want to attach to the chat, and click “Open” or “Upload”, depending on your device. The files will be uploaded to the chat.

2. Drag and drop the necessary files into the text input field.

To view the image you sent, click on it. A preview window will open where you can:

  • Open the image in a new tab;

  • Copy the link to the image;

  • Download the image.

You can also go to the previous or next image in this chat by clicking on the corresponding buttons.

You can add up to 5 files per message.

The allowed file formats are pdf, doc/docx, XLS/XLSX, csv.

The allowed formats for images are jpeg, jpg, png, gif.

Allowed formats for video files are mp4, mov, m4v, webm, mkv.

Please note: If you send files via Instagram or CSV files via WhatsApp, your client will receive them as a link.

The allowed size of the sent file depends on the chat channel.

  • For WhatsApp by Twilio chats - no more than 500 KB;

  • For Facebook and Instagram chats - no more than 25 MB.

  • For Telegram Bot chats - no more than 50 MB.

  • For Telegram and WhatsApp chats from E-chat - no more than 100 MB.

  • For WhatsApp chats - no more than 5 MB;

  • For Facebook, Instagram, and Telegram Bot chats - no more than 8 MB.

  • For Telegram and WhatsApp chats from E-chat - no more than 100 MB.

To delete a file from the text field, hover over it and click on the trash can.

Restrictions

Please note some types of media files cannot be opened in the RO App interface due to the lack of necessary API methods on the part of messengers.

WhatsApp by Twilio channels also have certain restrictions on media files (images, documents, audio, video):
