If you accept payments through a connected payment service provider, a fee is typically charged for each transaction. Therefore, you actually receive less than 100% of the payment amount.
To ensure that transaction fees are correctly reflected in RO App, configure your merchant account so that it accounts for all transaction fees when accepting payments.
To do this:
1. Go to Finance > Transactions.
2. On the desired account, tap the three dots > Configure.
3. Enable the option Include transaction fees.
4. Select the transaction type Income and configure the fee.
How to set up a fee:
If the fee is set only as a percentage or only as an amount—select the corresponding type and enter the value.
If the fee consists of a percentage and a fixed amount—add both fees separately. In this case, each fee is calculated based on the total payment amount and then added together.
For example, if the commission is 1% + 2 € per transaction, you need to set up two separate commissions for incoming payments: one at 1%, the other as a fixed amount of 2 €.
In that case, the transaction fee of 20 € will be 0.20 € + 2 € = 2.20 €.
5. Save the account settings.
After that, a separate expense for the commission amount will be automatically created for each payment. It will be displayed under the transaction category Transaction processing services with the comment “Transaction processing fee”.
You can view the total amount of such expenses in the report on the page Reports > Finance > Cash Flow.
What should I do if the commission rate has changed in the payment service?
Simply update the fee settings for the account in RO App by changing or adding new values for the percentage and/or fixed commission. New payments will reflect the current rates.
Can I disable commission tracking for a specific account?
Yes, in the account settings, you can disable the Include transaction fees option. After that, fees for this account will no longer be displayed. Pre-configured fees are saved, so if you re-enable them, you won’t need to re-enter them.
