Mobile App Updates: Booking Notifications, Asset Types

Stay on top of bookings faster, manage different asset categories more efficiently, and get ready for tap-to-pay payments directly in the mobile app.

Written by Hanna

We’ve released several updates for RO App mobile applications on iOS and Android to help your team respond faster to booking changes, work with assets more conveniently, and prepare for upcoming in-person payment flows.

Push Notifications for Bookings

You can now receive push notifications about important booking updates directly on your mobile device.

The mobile app now supports notifications for three booking events:

  • New booking – when a booking is assigned to you

  • Booking time changed – when the scheduled date or time is updated

  • Booking status changed – when the booking moves to another status

These notifications help employees stay informed in real time without constantly checking the app manually, making it easier to react quickly and keep daily schedules under control.

Push notifications for bookings are enabled automatically for all users with access to the Booking module.

Asset Types Now Available in Mobile App

We’ve also added support for asset types in mobile applications.

If you’ve already set up multiple asset types in the web version of RO App, employees can now work with them directly from mobile devices as well.

Different asset categories can display their own custom fields, helping your team view and fill in only the information relevant to that specific asset type.

For example:

  • vehicles can include mileage or license plate numbers;

  • electronics can include storage capacity or battery health;

  • equipment can include operating hours or model information.

This keeps asset profiles cleaner and more convenient to work with on mobile.

If you haven’t set up asset types yet, you can do that in the web version in Settings > Forms editor > Assets.

Tap-to-Pay Support

We’ve also added technical support for tap-to-pay payments in the mobile app as part of an upcoming RO App release.

This update prepares the mobile applications for future tap-to-pay integrations that will allow employees to accept contactless payments directly from smartphones using compatible payment apps.

The feature will become available after tap-to-pay support is released in the web version of RO App. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements and setup instructions.

Update Your App

To start using the new features, make sure you have the latest version of RO Mobile App installed. If you haven’t installed it yet, now is a great time to download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
