Previously, we updated the workflow for incomplete or canceled orders and excluded unsuccessful orders from the Orders Profit report to ensure more accurate reporting and analytics.
Now, we’ve added a new report for orders closed as unsuccessful on the Reports > Finance > Unsuccessful Orders Profit page to analyse the financial result and unpaid amounts for such orders.
Why It Helps
The report shows orders closed in one of the statuses of the “Dropped off” group. These can be canceled, incomplete, or partially completed orders. For example, a client refused a repair after diagnostics, did not pick up a device, canceled an on-site visit, or did not confirm a purchase.
In such cases, the company may have already received a prepayment, deducted certain products, completed part of the work, accrued employee bonuses, or incurred other costs. At the same time, part of the amount may remain unpaid.
The new report helps you track:
How much money was actually received for unsuccessful orders
What costs were incurred
What amount was not paid
What financial result was generated for such orders
What’s Available in the Report
The Unsuccessful Orders Profit report has a similar structure to the Orders Profit report. You can filter data by period, location, order type, or status, and also print and export the report.
In the Unsuccessful Orders Profit report, profit is calculated using the formula:
Profit = Payments − Cost − Employee commissions − Taxes
Payments — payments received for the order
Cost — the cost of work, services, and deducted products
Wage — employee commissions
Taxes — taxes applied to the order
The report also has a separate Unpaid amount column, which shows the amount the company did not receive for the order. It is not included in payments and helps estimate lost revenue for unsuccessful orders.
Access Rights
A separate access right, “Unsuccessful Orders Profit,” has been added in the Reports section to view the new report. It is automatically available to all users who already have access to view the Orders Profit report.
What’s Next
In upcoming updates, we will add a new Total Profit report. This report will combine the financial results for:
successful orders,
unsuccessful orders,
and sales.
This way, you will be able to view the company’s total profit.
