The “Product Attributes” directory allows you to create and manage property directories (such as Color, Size, Memory, etc.) that are used to describe products and their variations.
Property directories are needed to create products with variations: a single model in several colors, with different storage capacities, or in different sizes.
For example, you have a smartphone available in three colors and with two memory options. You don’t need to create six separate products: you create a single product, and its variations are generated from the values in the Color and Memory reference guides. Each variation can have its own SKU and Inventory level, while all of them remain linked to a single product.
Therefore, first create reference lists with the necessary properties and their values, and then use them when creating products with variations.
Creating a New Product Attribute Reference List
To create a new reference list, follow these steps:
1. Go to the Settings > Reference Lists section
2. On the “Product Attributes” tab, click “Create Reference Table”
3. Enter a name for the reference table (for example, Color, Memory, Size).
4. Add the necessary items to the reference table. For example, for the “Color” reference table, add all available product colors.
5. Click Create to save the new reference guide item.
The reference guide has been created! You can now use its items to populate product attributes.
Managing Catalog Items
In each catalog you create, you can add, edit, import, export, and delete attribute values. Below is a description of how to perform each of these actions.
Editing a Catalog Name
Click the pencil icon next to the catalog name.
Enter a new name.
Save your changes.
Exporting reference list items
Exporting allows you to save a list of values to a file, for example, for backup, verification, or editing.
Open the reference list.
Click Export.
A file containing the list of items will be downloaded to your device.
Importing directory entries
Importing allows you to add a large number of entries in bulk without manual entry.
Prepare a file containing the entries. For convenience, first export the directory and use the resulting file as a template.
Open the directory and tap Import.
Select the prepared file.
Wait for the upload to complete and verify that the values have appeared in the list.
Deleting entries
Check the boxes next to the entries you want to delete.
Click the Delete button.
Confirm the action if the system prompts you for confirmation.
