How To Create Contacts?

Learn about ways you can create contacts in RO App

Written by Christina

To be able to create contacts, the role must have the “Can create contacts” permission enabled.

There are several ways to create a contact in RO App:

Option 1. Create a Contact Manually on the Contacts Page.

Go to Contacts and click the + Person/Organization button. Fill in the customer profile and save the changes.

Option 2. Import Contacts via an Excel File.

On the Contacts page, click the Import button. Download an Excel file sample, fill in the file and upload it back to RO App. Read more about importing contacts and filling out the template here.

Option 3. Create a Contact in a Work Order, Lead, Sale, or Create a Supplier in a Posting Document.

Enter the name of the contact/supplier in the work order, lead, sale, or posting document. Click + or + Create contact. Fill in the contact information and save the changes.

Option 4. Creating a Contact via the API or Online Connectors.

In addition to the above options, you can set up automatic contact creation in RO App via the API. You can do it yourself using the available methods in the documentation or with the help of online connectors listed on the Integrations page.

This option will come in handy if you want to create contacts from requests on your website or Facebook automatically.

Option 5. Creating a contact from an incoming call card.

If a contact with this phone number is not yet saved in your contact database, you can create a new contact directly from the incoming call card. To do this, use the “+ Create” button and select the “New contact” option. Fill in the details and save them.

Option 6. Automatic Contact Creation.

If no existing contact is found for a phone number, the system can automatically create a new contact during an incoming or outgoing call, provided the corresponding setting is enabled.

The system automatically creates a new contact with a name in the format [Phone number] + Automatic contact + [Integration name], for example: +44 (1111) 612 73 21 Automatic contact Twilio.

The assigned employee is determined automatically based on the call route, call status, and telephony settings.
