In RO App, you can use different product types for different categories.
For each of these types, you can customize the product form, making RO App even more convenient to use and helping you organize how your business manages products.
For example, for an electronics store, you can create separate product types for smartphones, laptops, and accessories, each with different fields for entering specifications. For an auto business, you can create separate forms for auto parts, tires, or lubricants. This will help standardize data entry and simplify inventory and product catalog management.
How do I create a new product type?
Step 1. Go to the “Settings > Form Editor > Products” page.
Step 2. Enter a name and select the product type from which you want to copy the form. If this is the first time you’re creating a form, the default value is selected.
You can use emojis in the name. For Windows users, press the “Win + . (period)” keys and select an emoji. If you can’t find the right emoji or are using Mozilla Firefox/Edge, you can visit the emojipedia website. Simply copy and paste the emoji you need.
Step 3. Click the “Create” button.
How do I edit product types, and what are their uses?
To edit a product type, click the pencil icon next to the “Product Type” field, change the name, and click “Save”.

You can set a default product type that will be used when creating new products:
To do this, go to the “Products” section on the “Settings > Inventory > Product Settings” page and select the desired type in the “Default Product Type” field. The following options are available:
“Default”, will be applied to all new products;
“Not set”, in which case you will select the type manually each time;
“Remember last”, when creating a new product, the type value will be set to the last selected one.
You can change the type when creating a product.
To delete a product type, click the delete button next to the “Product Type” field and confirm the action.
